Millers meeting in India a great
success again

"Mühlenchemie goes east"
Representative ofﬁce in Poland

David Nolte is awarded the
DMSB's Golden Ring

The Second Indian Millers Meeting was
held in New Delhi and the South Indian
town of Coimbatore in May 2008.
The organizers were Mühlenchemie
and the Indian ingredients specialist
Nensey. Led by Dr. Lutz Popper, head
of Research & Development at Mühlenchemie, well-known speakers informed
approximately 85 participants on practical aspects of ﬂour improvement, ﬂour
fortiﬁcation and laboratory analysis.
Because of the lively interest shown, a
third meeting is already planned for
the year 2011.

Poland is becoming more and more
important to Mühlenchemie as one of
the principal markets of Eastern Europe.
A representative ofﬁce has been established to reinforce the company's presence in this market and meet customers'
increasingly sophisticated requirements.
Since 1 March 2008, Krzysztof
Grabinski (photo) has been attending
to Mühlenchemie's Polish customers
on the spot, from Warsaw.

David Nolte has been awarded a prize for
outstanding achievement by the German
School of Milling (DMSB) in Brunswick.
The 31-year-old completed his training
as a state-examined technician for mill
construction and grain and feed technology last year with the average mark "very
good". For this achievement Franz Engelke (right), chairman of the Association
for the Promotion of the German School
of Milling in Brunswick, presented him
with the Golden Ring on 11 July 2008.
This is a very special award that only
31 out of 2,221 graduates have received
since 1949. David Nolte had previously
been trained as a miller with Raiffeisen
Produktions GmbH in Flensburg - and
completed his training there with distinction too. Since 2 January 2008 Nolte has
been working for Mühlenchemie as a
milling technician.

Cooperation between Mühlenchemie and Nensey
Mühlenchemie and the Indian company Nensey Food Ingredients are intensifying their cooperation in the form of a joint venture. There have been close
contacts between the two ingredients specialists for a long time. The joint
company with the name Stern Ingredients India will invest in a sophisticated
baking laboratory and compounding plant on the spot in order to serve the
Indian milling and baking market even faster and more efﬁciently in future.
