EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Before the official opening of the IPE
and IFE expos, the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and the Poultry Protein & Fat Council will sponsor
the Pet Food Regulatory and Technical
Conference, Jan. 27-28, at the Georgia
World Congress Center.
This year's program will focus on

"Understanding Emerging Trends in
the Pet Food Industry" and how these
issues can be addressed through regulatory and technical approaches. Timely
issues such as the melamine contamination scandal and the recent rise in ingredient costs will be incorporated into
the discussion.
The regulatory portion of the conference will include speakers from AFIA,
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), the European Commission, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Euro-
